The authors report a case of a tumour arising in an aberrant intrasplenic pancreas, forming a fistula with the left colon, responsible for rectal bleeding in a 75 year old woman and treated by surgical resection. This tumour is classified as a heterotopic pancreatic tumour. As in the other two cases described in the literature, this tumour was found to be an intrasplenic mucinous cystadenocarcinoma which has a more favourable prognosis than heterotopic adenocarcinomas (29 cases reported).
