Abstract
Patient characteristics and treatment modalities of a psychogeriatric day hospital are analyzed on the basis of demographic, illness- and treatment-related data from a 5-year-period. Specific potentials and tasks of the day hospital in the care of the mentally ill elderly are discussed.
