This case report was awarded the Begg Medallion in 1986. A lengthy period of pretreatment investigation and serial extraction culminated in the need to extract eight permanent teeth. Posttreatment retention and subsequent observation is recorded with photographic results seven years after the completion of active treatment with the Begg Appliance.
