Transport of proteins above 60 kDa into the nuclei involves the nuclear localization signal. The nuclear localization signal of some proteins is considered. Transport of proteins into the nuclei proceeds with the help of the nuclear pore complex. Data on some proteins which possibly fulfill the function of receptors are discussed. Regulation of protein import into the cell nuclei is analyzed by the example of Tetrahymena histone H1, snRNP proteins, etc.
