Cases of ureteropelvic (UP) obstruction presenting for the first time in the adult were analyzed and etiologic factors considered. Besides idiopathic causes, calculi and neoplasm were found in our series. Comparison with other reports of UP obstruction in pediatric patients revealed differences pertaining to mode of clinical presentation, sex predominance and incidence of neoplasm occuring at the UP junction in the adult.
对首次在成人中出现的肾盂输尿管（UP）梗阻病例进行了分析，并考虑了病因因素。除特发性病因外，在我们的系列病例中还发现了结石和肿瘤。与其他关于小儿患者UP梗阻的报告相比，发现成人在临床表现方式、性别优势以及UP交界处肿瘤发生率方面存在差异。
