Pharmacists can play an important role in health promotion and disease prevention by advocating proper immunization. To do so, pharmacists must actively practice and promote preventive medicine. As primary contact persons in the health care system, pharmacists have the opportunity to screen and counsel their patients to help protect them from preventable infections.
