Abstract
Chenix is an orally administered gallstone solubilizer that reduces biliary cholesterol in the bile acid pool, which in effect helps to dissolve floating radiolucent cholesterol gallstones. Chenix is an agent used to treat cholesterol gallstones in the patient with a higher than average risk for surgical intervention for the removal of gallstones.
