In 102 patients with cancer of the rectum and sigmoid a cytologic method was used to support morphologically a primary tumor focus and also to determine the degree of tumor spread. This method proved to be simple and highly reliable (94.6% of coincidence with histological findings).
对102例直肠癌和乙状结肠癌患者采用细胞学方法，从形态学上辅助确定原发性肿瘤灶，并确定肿瘤扩散程度。该方法简单且可靠性高（与组织学检查结果的符合率为94.6%）。
