The competence is acquired during postgraduate formation, she is maintained by continuous training. In other words it is the quality and the duration of our postgraduate formation which guarantees us the quality of our work. It is up to the FMH and Surgical Specialties Societies to maintain the high standard of the postgraduate formation. This cannot be attained unless the number of postgraduate training places are limited, thus giving a larger experience in surgical skills. And although that the postgraduation centers would be in agreement with each other in the postgraduate courses and that at the end of the postgraduate formation a practical evaluation takes place.
