Any attempts at health care reform must take into account the needs of the patient, provider, and payer. Health care reform does not have to be a puzzle. The need to reduce medical costs must not be paramount to the equally important concerns of patient protection and provider fairness. The Georgia Comprehensive Protection Act will go a long way toward finding answers to the managed care puzzle.
