Abstract
Perinatal nurses in the home care setting should screen all women for battering. Pregnant women who are battered need nursing education and intervention to help break the cycle of abuse and promote optimal maternal and fetal outcomes. This case report describes nursing care in the home for a battered pregnant patient at high risk.
