Abstract
Psychoneurotic scores in a sample of all patients between the ages of 17 and 70 in a group practice have been studied, and the relationship with psychoactive drug prescribing examined. In addition some social factors have been studied, namely, the use of alcohol and tobacco, and self-medication.The psychoneurotic scores of those prescribed psychoactive drugs are significantly higher than those for the general population, but do not fall after treatment.

对一组医疗机构中年龄在17岁至70岁之间的所有患者样本的神经症得分进行了研究，并考察了其与精神活性药物处方的关系。此外，还研究了一些社会因素，即酒精和烟草的使用以及自我用药情况。开具精神活性药物处方的患者的神经症得分显著高于普通人群，但治疗后并未下降。
