Abstract
The total synthesis of sesbanimide A and its analogues has been achieved. The synthesized sesbanimides have been investigated for structure activity relationship. An approach has been developed for the synthesis of the antitumour alkaloid manzamine A. Recent results in these areas will be discussed.
