A review of the world literature on gas embolism.

CONCLUSION

Gas embolism is an unusual complication and has increased in frequency since the introduction of new invasive procedures. Since the clinical presentation of gas embolism has many faces, it is important to identify it as early as possible: timely treatment may be life saving, while a delay may have serious consequences.
