To investigate the effects of low dose flutamide (250 mg/d) on hirsutism score and hormone levels in women with hirsutism.
Nonrandomized, prospective clinical trial.
Forty-one patients with moderate-severe hirsutism were included in the study.
Hirsute patients received 250 mg/d flutamide for a period of 6 months.
Hirsutism score, FSH, LH, E2, total T, free T, androstenedione, DHEAS, PRL, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, and sex hormone-binding globulin levels were detected in all the patients before treatment and every 3 months during treatment.
Treatment with the antiandrogen flutamide resulted in a particularly rapid and marked decrease in the hirsutism score, which decreased from 17.48 +/- 5.35 to 5.07 +/- 2.89 after 6 months. No significant changes in the levels of hormone and no serious side effects were observed in the study.
The low-dose flutamide, 250 mg/d, is a cost-effective drug in the treatment of hirsutism. Low-dose flutamide may be used in place of high-dose flutamide, 500 to 750 mg/d.
探讨低剂量氟他胺（250毫克/天）对多毛症女性多毛症评分及激素水平的影响。
非随机前瞻性临床试验。
41例中重度多毛症患者纳入本研究。
多毛症患者接受250毫克/天氟他胺治疗，为期6个月。
在所有患者治疗前及治疗期间每3个月检测多毛症评分、促卵泡激素（FSH）、促黄体生成素（LH）、雌二醇（E2）、总睾酮（T）、游离睾酮（free T）、雄烯二酮、硫酸脱氢表雄酮（DHEAS）、催乳素（PRL）、17-羟孕酮及性激素结合球蛋白水平。
使用抗雄激素药物氟他胺治疗后，多毛症评分迅速且显著降低，6个月后从17.48±5.35降至5.07±2.89。研究中未观察到激素水平有显著变化，也未出现严重副作用。
低剂量氟他胺（250毫克/天）是治疗多毛症的一种性价比高的药物。低剂量氟他胺可替代高剂量氟他胺（500至750毫克/天）使用。
