[Conservative strategy in primary lymphomas of the stomach].

Surgery is no longer necessary for pathologic diagnosis and staging of gastric lymphoma because of improved endoscopic biopsy and modern imaging techniques. At least equal results may be achieved compared to surgery by wide-field megavoltage radiotherapy and polychemotherapy without prior resection.
