Abstract

It deals with the approach to the health-disease and patient process, according to the Cartesian and emergent paradigms. It is taken into consideration that, due to the influences of the new paradigm, that is, the emergent one, the professionals of health, including nurses, are adopting more and more the holistic approach in the treatment of their patients.
