Abstract
The physical and psychological effects accompanying the menopause can be distressing. Some 75-80% of all women develop at least some symptoms due to the sudden withdrawal of oestrogen. This paper reviews the use of hormone replacement therapy which can alleviate most menopausal symptoms.
