Abstract
A patient with recurrent profound hypoglycemia was admitted to the hospital; subsequently a gastric leiomyosarcoma was found. Levels of insulin in blood were low during hypoglycemia crisis. Attention was, therefore, focussed on peptides with insulin-like activity produced by the gastric tumour.
