A postal survey has been performed of all departments in Scotland providing a Nuclear Medicine service. Twenty out of twenty-one departments replied to a questionnaire, which sought information on staffing, equipment and general operational procedures. The results give an impression of the organisation and structure of Nuclear Medicine in Scotland and provide a foundation for further work on regional audit of various aspects of Nuclear Medicine practice.
