[Protein hydrolysates in infant formulas].

The paper describes protein hydrolysates methods of hydrolysis, classification of hydrolysates based on the type of hydrolysed protein and extent of hydrolysis, conditions which should be fulfilled to ensure the hypoallergenicity (hypoantigenicity) of hydrolysed formulae. The indications for use in treatment and prevention are discussed.
