[Functional metabolic activity of leukocytes in myocardial infarct].

79 myocardial infarction (MI) patients exhibited enhanced activity of myeloperoxidase and high levels of cation protein in leukocytes. These indices rose to maximal and recovered on the disease days 5-7 and 30-40, respectively. Intracellular components of leukocytes in acute MI patients changed in accordance with the stage and severity of the pathological process. This provides additional information on MI prognosis and aftercare efficiency.
