We report a case of keratitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae involving daily wear contact lens use.
After positive cultures from corneal scrapings and contact lenses, the patient was diagnosed with Haemophilus influenzae keratitis.
After 16 days of treatment with topical ciprofloxacin and trimethoprim sulfate-polymyxin B sulfate, the keratitis resolved.
Cultures will help identify rare corneal pathogens such as Haemophilus influenzae and help in directing appropriate treatment.
