Abstract

A theoretical analysis of the forces responsible for BLM interaction in the contact zone has been carried out. It is shown that these are the forces of Van-der-Vaals attraction, electrostatic repulsion and surface tension of the membranes. Values of Hammaker constant and surface potential of BLM are determined. The value and remote action of each force, as well as the possibilities of the method of measuring the distance between the contacting membrane are discussed.
