Abstract

Origination of the breast neoplasms was studied in female rats totally gamma-irradiated (a single dose of 200 r) at the age of four weeks. The first neoplasms were found in rats sacrificed 6 months after the exposure; control unexposed rats developed the breast neoplasms only by the 15th month since the beginning of the experiment. By histological criteria all these neoplasms were benign in both groups of animals. Most cell and eosinophilic leukocyte count in the mammary gland tissue showed quantitative changes in the eosinophilic leukocyte count, and a change of the mast cell reaction during the radiation blastomogenesis.

对4周龄时接受全身γ射线照射(单次剂量200伦琴)的雌性大鼠的乳腺肿瘤起源进行了研究。在照射后6个月处死的大鼠中发现了第一批肿瘤;未照射的对照大鼠直到实验开始后第15个月才出现乳腺肿瘤。根据组织学标准,两组动物的所有这些肿瘤均为良性。乳腺组织中的大多数细胞和嗜酸性白细胞计数显示嗜酸性白细胞计数有定量变化,并且在辐射致瘤过程中肥大细胞反应发生了变化。
