Some will argue that AIDS is a tell-tale and a trigger mechanism. It forces health professionals to question certain attitudes and above all to inter-relate their complementary roles. It is obvious, for those who have experienced it, that a coordinated take-over of the patient right from the start between players within and outside hospitals enables in most cases to avoid stress, to reduce the cost illness simultaneously guaranteeing an optimization of treatment. Is that not the art of healing, of nursing, or simply that of ensuring the best quality of life for every one?
