We report an unusual case of small bowel infarction as a result of strangulation by a long Meckel's Diverticulum (MD). In any patient with a MD there is approximately a 4% risk of developing complications. These include bleeding, intussusception, obstruction due to a mesodiverticular band, volvulus and herniation. We present a case in which strangulation was due to encirclement of the small bowel by a long MD.
