Survey of admission criteria in A.S.-degree R.T. programs.

Program admission criteria and an admission model are essential to any educational program in radiologic technology. This article describes the results of a survey performed to identify common admission criteria and determine if specific admission models are used by university-based radiologic technology programs offering associate degrees. A national survey was conducted with 31 participants, representing 74% of the total population. Survey results showed that specific admission models are not universally used and admission decision validity has not been determined by most university-based radiologic technology programs.
