Abstract
A case of Salmonella aortitis with pseudoaneurysm formation involving the descending thoracic aorta is described. Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) was instrumental in establishing the diagnosis and leading to a successful surgical intervention. A high index of suspicion is required to make a timely diagnosis of Salmonella aortitis, and TEE should be considered in cases of possible thoracic involvement.

本文描述了一例沙门氏菌性主动脉炎伴假性动脉瘤形成累及胸降主动脉的病例。经食管超声心动图（TEE）有助于确诊并成功实施手术干预。对于沙门氏菌性主动脉炎的及时诊断需要高度怀疑指数，对于可能累及胸部的病例应考虑使用TEE。
