The authors analyze the activities of a group of forensic medical experts of the Khabarovsk Bureau of Forensic Medical Expert Evaluation working in the team for liquidation of the consequences of the catastrophe in the town of Neftegorsk. The principles of work organization in the field were demonstrated under conditions of the minimal financing and material supply. General recommendations on the preparation and equipment of forensic medics for work in far-away regions in a focus of disaster involving numerous victims are offered.
