Getting into a residency program in the United States remains relatively easy in many specialties. General internal medicine, for instance, is now in vogue, and the present time is particularly auspicious, since residency positions offered to foreign graduates are likely to be reduced in the near future. The process of finding a position is described based on a personal experience.
