[Iatrogenic lesions in a series of 1 250 mediastinoscopies (author's transl)].

Forty-seven complications occurred as a consequence of 1,250 mediastinoscopies, a rate of 3.8%. There were 17 hemorrhages, 7 of which necessitated thoracotomy. One of these died of laceration of the pulmonary artery. Mediastinoscopy was a factor in the death of 6 other patients.
