Therapeutic technique: treatment of a borderline adolescent girl.

This paper is a case presentation of an acting-out borderline adolescent girl, who had been exposed to three previous attempts at treatment. The clinical material gives evidence of diagnostic and dynamic understanding of the borderline syndrome. The treatment technique--confrontation--is elucidated with examples of its use.
