Abstract
Federal guidelines to determine whether provider networks comply with antitrust statutes have been revised. The revisions improve the likelihood that physicians, hospitals and other providers will be able to form joint ventures to complete or contract with managed health plans. The revisions take on added importance in light of managed care's expanding role in Medicare.
