[The major outer-membrane protein of Chlamydia: structure and functions].

This review presents the structure of the major outer-membrane protein of Chlamydia and its functions at different levels of the developmental cycle of Chlamydia. The antigenicity and the immunogenicity of the protein, which made this antigen essential for the establishment of a protective immunity, are also presented.
