[The diagnosis and treatment of partial epilepsy in childhood and adolescence].

We review the various forms of partial epilepsy that appear in childhood and adolescence, emphasizing the most common forms. The electroencephalographic features and new ways of reaching an etiologic diagnosis by anatomical and functional neuroimaging techniques are discussed. Finally, we set out the main guidelines for drug and surgical treatment.
