Abstract

P. jenkinsi is not an intermediate vector of Fasciola hepatica. In Lymneae habitats with periodical dessiccation, Potamopyrgus can not live long. Permanent water is necessary: under these conditions, Potamopyrgus competition has a positive effect upon Lymnaea ecology.
