Data on a patient with a coexisting left inguinal hernia and rectosigmoid cancer are reported. This case and the review of the literature reveal the necessity of full proctologic examination including sigmoidoscopy in each patient with inguinal hernia and nonspecific colorectal signs and symptoms.
