Cavernous haemangiomas are most commonly found in the subcortical white matter, the pons and the external capsule. We present a case of a cavernous haemangioma that appeared as an intraventricular mass at the foramen of Monro. Despite the unusual location the diagnosis was established by MRI because of the typical appearance. The differential diagnosis included primary and secondary neoplasms at the foramen of Monro.
