[The function of the musculo-venous "pump" of the foot in varicose veins].

The functional state of foot musculo-venous "pump" was studied with the help of distal and retrograde phlebography. rheovasography and phlebotonometry in 148 patients with varicose disease. The authors suggested that in the base of its dysfunction lies the foot deep vein ectasis and the varicose insufficiency of communicating veins connected with them.
