A primary carcinoma of the Bartholin's gland is a rarely type of vulva-carcinoma. The patients median age are 55 years and the etiology of the carcinoma are still unknown. Viral influences are discussed. Most frequent types of carcinomas of Bartholin's gland are those of squamous cells and adenocarcinomas. This article reports on a 55 year old patient with a primary carcinoma of Bartholin's gland. The human papillomavirus 18 was detected by a polymerase chain reaction. The correct diagnosis was delayed because of an initial misinterpretation of the carcinoma as a Bartholin cyst, marsupialization and bad healing of the wound. The patient underwent a radical vulvectomy with bilateral inguinofemoral lymphonodectomy in combination with radiation therapy.
巴氏腺原发性癌是一种罕见的外阴癌类型。患者的中位年龄为55岁，该癌症的病因仍不清楚。有人讨论了病毒的影响。巴氏腺最常见的癌类型是鳞状细胞癌和腺癌。本文报道了一名55岁患有巴氏腺原发性癌的患者。通过聚合酶链反应检测到了人乳头瘤病毒18型。由于最初将癌症误诊为巴氏腺囊肿、行袋形缝合术且伤口愈合不良，导致正确诊断被延误。该患者接受了根治性外阴切除术及双侧腹股沟股淋巴结切除术，并结合放射治疗。
