This report describes the successful use of transluminal angioplasty for tight atherosclerotic stenosis of the basilar or intra-cranial vertebral arteries in three patients presenting frequent symptoms that were unresponsive to antithrombotic therapy. Excellent clinical results have been obtained with a mean follow-up of 24 months. Larger studies are warranted to confirm efficacy and safety of this new technic.
本报告描述了对3例频繁出现症状且抗血栓治疗无效的基底动脉或颅内椎动脉严重动脉粥样硬化狭窄患者成功应用腔内血管成形术的情况。平均随访24个月取得了优异的临床效果。需要开展更大规模的研究以证实这项新技术的有效性和安全性。
