MRI data of twenty-four cases of laryngeal cancer were analysed and compared with the findings of postsurgical pathology. The results revealed that MRI could clearly demonstrate the three dimensional representations of tumor pathology, and correctly depict invasion of paraglottic space (PGS), and preepiglottic space (PES), and precisely display involvement of laryngeal cartilage by cancer. It was considered that MRI was of great importance in determining appropriate therapy for laryngeal cancer.
