Ultrasound echography has proved a non-invasive, reproducible, harmless and, for the patient, not burdensome technique for the diagnosis of diseases of the liver and bile ducts in the right upper abdomen. Diffuse changes of the organs and disease of the bile ducts as well as cystic or tumorous solid changes in the upper abdomen are the main spheres of sonography. The use of "grey value" techniques has increased the efficiency of compound ultrasound examinations. We can expect further improvements with digital computerised evaluation of signals.
超声检查已被证明是一种用于诊断右上腹肝脏和胆管疾病的非侵入性、可重复、无害且对患者而言负担不重的技术。器官的弥漫性改变、胆管疾病以及上腹部的囊性或肿瘤性实性改变是超声检查的主要领域。“灰阶”技术的应用提高了复合超声检查的效率。随着信号的数字计算机化评估，我们有望取得进一步的进展。
