[Features of surgical technique in the use of vascular polytetrafluoroethylene (Gore-Tex type) prostheses].

The Gore-Tex vascular grafts were implanted in different parts of arterial system in 76 patients. The advantages of Gore-Tex grafts are described as well as the indications for their use and peculiarities of surgical technique. Three methods of aorta anastomosis formation in aorto-femoral grafting are depicted. The peculiarities of surgical technique in the use of Gore-Tex grafts in femoro-popliteal, femoro-tibial and extra-anatomical shunting, renal artery brachycephalic trunk, subclavian and axillary arteries reconstruction are described. The recommendations for the choice of a proper vascular graft are given.
