The value of immunohistochemical identification of neuroendocrine differentiation in non small cell lung carcinoma.

Neuroendocrine differentiation (NE) has been found to be a feature of neuroendocrine tumours and also a proportion of non-small cell lung carcinomas. Detection of NE by immunohistochemical assays depends on spectrum of used antibodies and criteria. Immunohistochemical identification of NE in non-small cell lung cancer has been discussed in an article together with criteria, diagnostic helpfulness and prognostic value of this feature.
