Two stochastic models try to assess the limitation phenomenon. The first one lets suppose that a limited number of crossing sites for microfilariae are present on stomach wall. The second one lets suppose that microfilariae are inactivated either by reinforcement of the vector physiological mechanism (blood coagulation, peritrophic membrane, etc...) or by microfilarian mutual inhibition. Datae on five filaria-vector sets have been analysed. The first model given by a single type of curve fits with the datae concerning three sets. The second model shows that different types of curves are optional. In this case five sets of datae can be ajusted, moreover this model allows for a given set.
