Neurons of torus semicircularis, frontal and caudal neostriatum of hen are characterized by different mean frequencies of background activity, which comprise correspondingly 11.7, 4.7 and 2.1 impulse/sec. Statistical classification of semilogarithmic histograms of interimpulse intervals reveals 6 main types of distributions. Classes 1 and 2 are predominant ones, presenting low frequency impulsation. Among the neurons of these classes, sound-sensitive cells were found.
