Abstract
Prosthodontics has evolved slowly from being an ancient craft into a modern science. The literature of the ancient world is replete with dental references which provide insights into the way dentistry was once practiced. The scientific breakthroughs of the past century have most prominently accelerated dentistry's modernization. The dentistry of the past has paved the way to modern day dental science and treatment.
摘要
口腔修复学已从一门古老的技艺逐渐发展成为一门现代科学。古代文献中充斥着关于牙齿的记载，这些记载让我们得以了解过去的牙科治疗方式。过去一个世纪的科学突破极大地加速了牙科的现代化进程。过去的牙科为现代牙科科学和治疗奠定了基础。
