Abstract
Early orthodontic treatment will not resolve all potential orthodontic problems or totally inhibit adverse skeletal growth patterns. However, by identifying problems at an early age it is possible to redirect skeletal growth; improve the occlusal relationship; enhance the patient's esthetics and self-image and, perhaps of even greater importance, achieve results that are unattainable later with the eruption of teeth and the cessation of growth.
摘要
早期正畸治疗并不能解决所有潜在的正畸问题，也无法完全抑制不利的骨骼生长模式。然而，通过在早期识别问题，有可能引导骨骼生长；改善咬合关系；提升患者的美观度和自我形象，而且或许更重要的是，取得在牙齿萌出和生长停止后无法实现的效果。
